ABC Meeting Sat Oct 29th
ABC's 2011 members' meeting takes place Saturday 29th Oct 2011 at: The Link, 4 New Road, Water Orton, Warwickshire, B46 1QU, 11.30am - 4.00pm
The meeting will comprise a series of illustrated talks on subjects related to the counties. Talks include:
Yorkshire's Extreme Points by Andy Strangeway, the Island Man
County Identity and its relation to National Identity by Philip Tibbetts MA
Warwickshire Myths and Legends by Peter Boyce, ABC Chairman
PLus updates on latest county flags developments, rado signs sucesses etc.

Monmouthshire Flag Registered
Congratulations to the Monmouthshire Association. Their Monmouthshhire Flag has now been officially registered by the Flag Institute.

Marking the extreme points of Lancashire
The Friends of Real Lancashire have embarked on a project to mark the extreme points of the traditional county of Lancashire, north, south, east and west with information plaques. On Friday 19th August three plaques were placed on Walney Island the most westerly point of Lancashire. The plaques were unveiled by Cllr John Murphy, the Mayor of Barrow in Furness.
